Ortovox impresses year after year with new and modern technology in clothing, backpacks and avalanche gear. When they launched the world's first avalanche beeper with voice navigation, they set another milestone that changes the way we act on the off-piste.

The idea behind the Ortovox Diract Voice avalanche beeper is that the less you have to think for yourself in pressure situations, the better. Ortovox has therefore created an avalanche beeper that makes it even easier for you to find your way in the snow in the event of an avalanche.

The Avalanche Beeper tells you with sound (as you know from a GPS) what to do if you need to find a person in an avalanche. You will be navigated using simple and easy commands.

The commands are designed to help you find a buried person as smoothly as possible. The avalanche beeper therefore increases the chances of locating the missing person. Before you head out into the off-piste, you will of course have trained with the avalanche beeper and know how to search and look for other people. However, you might forget your training once the accident happens, so the transceiver makes it even easier for you to search, as you are guided through all the phases of the search. The voice navigation optimizes the search process.

Ortovox Diract Voice is built with the patented SMART ANTENNA TECHNOLOGY, which in short provides increased signal transmission/performance.

The model is made with a focus on user-friendliness, which is why the model is produced with an extra large display (34mm x 45 mm) so you can easily see navigation arrows and numbers. It is only 2.3 cm thick. it weighs 210 grams and has rubber zones on the side for a better grip when wearing gloves. The avalanche beeper is rechargeable and has a battery that works at low temperatures, even at -20 degrees, where normal batteries often struggle. A carrying system/harness with built-in RECCO is included with the Avalanche Beeper.

The avalanche beeper can be used by anyone, especially off-piste beginners, as it is easy to handle and control. You won't find models on the market that are more user-friendly.

The included shovel is an Ortovox Beast 2.5. A solid avalanche shovel weighing only 580 grams, with a length of 83 cm when assembled and 42 cm when folded. The bucket has a liter capacity of 2.3 L.

The probe is an Ortovox ALU 240, which is easy to assemble with a Quick-lock assembly system. It weighs only 200 grams and has a diameter of 11mm and a length of 240 cm when assembled.
