For many years, ski boots have had a reputation for being bulky, heavy and uncomfortable. This is no the case with the K2 B.F.C. model. B.F.C. stands for Build For Comfort and it ensures that the boot is just as comfortable to wear at the end of the day as it is at the beginning.

Comfort is one thing, but K2 has also created a Hands Free Entry, which makes them easy to get into. This means you don't have to spend a lot of effort taking the ski boots on or off.

They are built up with different TPU materials, where the strongest materials have been used where there is the most pressure/need for it, and at the same time, thinner materials have been used where you want the boot to be softer. The engineers have analysed where the boot needs the most/least material, removing unnecessary weight and making the boot softer at the opening for easy entry.

The boot still has plenty of power! It's perfect for going full throttle on the groomed slopes in the morning, as well as when you head out into the more ridden snow and heavy slush at the end of the day. It's a versatile boot that responds when you push it, without being so stiff that you can't control it. On K2's own FLEX/FEEL scale, where 1 is Playfull and 10 is Precise, this is an 5, which tells you that you're getting a boot with amazing comfort and a quick response where you set the pace.

One of the practical features is the Apres Mode Walk Mechanism, which is used when walking without skis under your feet, standing in the après-ski bar or hiking. The function allows the ski boot to tilt all the way back to (almost) 90 degrees, so it doesn't feel as stiff and clumsy to walk in as classic ski boots, allowing you to relax your legs more. A feature you're guaranteed to love. We use it a lot ourselves when walking from the apartment to the lift or vice versa, or when travelling on the ski bus, as well as when taking longer breaks/lunch on the mountain. A feature that is easy to switch on and off with one hand.

The boot has a myriad of features, including 4 powerful buckles plus a 40mm Velcro Strap that moves all your energy from your shin into the ski. Last but not least, it comes with a Cushfit Plus Liner (inner boot) for a comfortable fit. The boot will fit snugly and comfortably around your foot, so you feel you have the best possible control. It also adapts to your foot over time, so after just 2-3 days you will notice increased comfort and an inner boot that is moulded to your foot.

The boot is made with a GripWalk sole, which makes it easy to walk in, as you get more angle/bend under the sole than a normal ski boot, and you will therefore walk more normally. GripWalk also provides good grip as the sole is coated with rubber, minimising the risk of slipping or falling.
