The K2 Recon series is an award-winning series from K2. It's a ski boot that's just waiting to be tested in the snow! Usually performance boots are heavy and bulky, but with the Recon 110, K2 has managed to create a strong and stable ski boot with a low weight. Ski boots are getting better and better year after year, and today it's possible to produce ski boots where you still get plenty of power without weighing a tonne.

If you're looking for comfort, power, performance and low weight, this is the model! It's perfect for going full throttle on the groomed slopes, as well as when you head out into the more ridden snow and heavy slush at the end of the day. It's a versatile boot that responds when you push it, without being so stiff that you can't control it. On K2's own FLEX/FEEL scale, where 1 is Playfull and 10 is Precise, this one scores 6, which tells you that you're getting a boot with great comfort and a good response.

The Recon weighs only 1650 grams, which is among the lightest in its category. This is due to K2's Powelite Shell technology, which is made up of 4 different TPU materials, where the strongest materials have been used where there is the most pressure/need for it, and at the same time, thinner materials have been used where you want the boot to be softer. The engineers have analysed where on the boot you need the most/least material, thus removing unnecessary weight. The ski boot is easy to get into as they used a lightweight TPU material around the ankle for easy entry, but at the same time it feels solid when you lean forward with your shin.

The boot has a myriad of features, including 4 powerful buckles plus a Velcro Strap that moves all your energy from the shin into the ski. Last but not least, it comes with a LuxFit Pro Liner (inner boot) for a tight fit. The boot will fit snugly and comfortably around your foot, giving you the best possible comfort and control. It also adapts to your foot over time, so after just 2-3 days you will notice increased comfort and an inner boot that is moulded to your foot.

The boot is made with a GripWalk sole, which makes it easy to walk in, as you get more angle/bend under the sole than a normal ski boot, and you will therefore walk more normally. GripWalk also provides good grip as the sole is coated with rubber, minimising the risk of slipping or falling.

The Recon is a high-end ski boot that offers far better features than the price tag suggests. This model comes with a flex of 110, which is suitable for the intermediate or advanced skier. It can be pushed at high speed, but can also be skied at a calm and relaxed pace.
