They are built with different TPU materials, using the strongest materials where there is the most pressure/need for it, while using thinner materials where you want the boot to be softer. The engineers have analyzed where the boot needs the most/least material, removing excess weight and making it softer at the opening so it's easy to get into.

The boot still has plenty of power! It's perfect for a long day on the mountain, when you need to hit the groomed slopes at 8:30am, as well as when you move into the more groomed and heavy slush/pudder/humps at the end of the day. It's a versatile boot that responds when you push it, without being so stiff that you can't control it. On K2's own FLEX/FEEL scale where 1 is Playfull and 10 is Precise, this is a 6, which means you get a boot with a high level of comfort and a quick response where you set the pace.

The boot has a myriad of features, including 4 powerful buckles plus a 40 mm Velcro Strap, which ensures that all your energy is moved from the shin down into the ski. Last but not least, it comes with a CushFit (inner boot) for a comfortable fit. The boot will fit snugly and comfortably around your foot so you feel you have the best possible control. It also adapts to your foot over time, so after just 2-3 days you'll notice increased comfort and an inner boot that fits your foot like a glove.

The boot is made with a GripWalk sole, which makes it easy to walk in as you get more angle/bend under the sole than a normal ski boot and you will therefore walk more normally. Grip Walk also provides a good grip as the sole is coated with rubber, reducing the risk of slipping or falling.
