The Auric Cut Backcountry MIPS is based on the classic Auric model, which instead of being designed for park and pipe skiers is aimed at those who mostly ski piste and off-piste. The model has the classic EPP liner and an ABS shell that provides great safety and protection while being comfortable to wear. The ABS shell in particular ensures that both your head and the helmet last for a long time.

The model is equipped with MIPS, which stands for Multidirectional Impact Protection System. The system consists of an inner shell inside the helmet that allows the helmet to rotate and absorb impacts that are not perpendicular to it. This can make a huge difference in protecting your head from concussions and other similar injuries.

The helmet can be adjusted at the back so that it always fits the wearer's head. It's also equipped with adjustable ventilation so you won't freeze on cold days or sweat on hot days. The helmet also has removable earpads, making it suitable as a cycling helmet or for those who want extra ventilation on hot days.

To complete the helmet's modifiability, you can also remove the ski goggle holder at the back if you'd rather keep the strap from your goggles inside the ski helmet.
