The Petromax Fire Plunger is a compact and reliable solution for lighting fires in the traditional way. Pressing the plunger into the cylinder creates a strong air compression that ignites the inner tinder. This glow can then be used to light a bonfire or an outdoor kitchen fire. The fire piston is shorter than a hand and can be easily stored in the included carrying bag, making it easy to carry in your luggage or pocket. Containers for tinder and lubricant are located at the ends of the piston and cylinder, protecting them from moisture. Once the firing pin is mounted on the piston tip, it is ready to use. In addition, a fire steel is built into the piston, which provides a solid ignition option.
