The helmet itself is a hybrid between an ABS shell and an in-mold shell, providing excellent protection for your head. The helmet has adjustable ventilation so you can maintain a comfortable temperature and specially cut OSS (Optimized Sound System) ear flaps that ensure you can hear what's going on around you. The helmet has a simple adjustment wheel in the neck and a wheel-fit system so you can adjust the size yourself. At the same time, the strap has a smart one-hand system so you can easily open and close the buckle on the ski helmet, even with ski gloves.

For the Cairn Maverick is a photochromic Evolight NXT visor that changes color (from lighter to darker) depending on the amount the lens is hit with.
